Yesterday we went to Wadebridge Wheels with Whistling Billy. We were on the corner near to the ring. Billy steamed for about three hours. The ring was in fact a rectangle and Billy could just make the narrow side on full lock. The car steamed well after initial blowbacks as I had the pilot light turned up a little too high for the present fuel. I am trying to escape from the modern petrol/diesel mixture with ethanol in it which keeps changing to kerosene (heating oil) but it is a question of getting correct the height of the pilot light, the vaporizer size with the correct rods in it, the main jet size, the fuel which still can vary, the operating pressure and a few other things.
