I recently attended an HCCA organised car tour run by Steve Cook. To my surprise I spotted a rare Stanley sream car owned by Brent Campbell. Does anyone have any more information on this rare Stanley.
This looks to be a rear model made by one of the Stanley twins. Does anyone know if this is accurate?
From Curtis 63
The car is a replica of Carlton Stanley 1912 special roadster. It era one of a kind and was scraped in 1913 after a broken steering arm.
Another great picture of this amazing automobile by Rolly Evans just added below.
Thanks to the website team who helped me find drawings and a machinist to make them plus a top quality wooden wheel restorer to make the wheels.
Below are some photos that I took whilst riding with Basil Craske on his model K Stanley Steam Car during the Melle tour April/May 2016.
