THE SECOND STEAM CAR BUILT EXPRESSLY FOR F.E.'s SON. Part one. Restored Steam car parts6/7/2017 Here are a few pictures of the restored acetylene generator and the Ducellier Phares acetylene spot-lamp/rear view mirror i purchased recently. I have replaced the rear mirror and front glass both 4mm thick the rear parabolic lens and burner jet are original, the lamp is approx. about 1910. I had to make the support swivel bracket as I imagined it may have looked it is all brass and bronze,I have incorporated a gas control cock as part of the assembly to make it usable from the driving seat. as you can see the generator as received from Australia has its mounting lugs cut off but otherwise it was sound, with no dents, and had both its inner carbide buckets. It is piped up to the spotlamp the headlamp will remain electric. Like many people I don`t go out in the dark!. I hope these pictures are of interest. ....Ralph. As well as all the usual information, membership and sales items we are also putting together a small display of Likamobiles and Locomobiles.
