I saw your post on steam car network. I also have a model works loco which has been finished for a number of years. I may be able to answer some of your questions. I made many changes to improve the car over the years.

The car has an oil fired water tube boiler and a 2 cylinder vertical engine. It needs batteries for the oil burner and the brakes need to be rebuilt. If you are in the US I will be happy to show you the car. John
