It has an original Locomobile engine, rebuilt, tested on compressed air. Original manual water pump. Some chassis components. All the other parts have been made by me using the original Locomobile drawings. Probably 95% completed it requires steam fittings, plumbing, the steam automatic( can be purchased or I have a set of castings), and the burner needs a few bits to finish. The fuel, air and water tanks are all tested and fitted and the muffler is installed. The boiler has all its certificates ,is CE marked and has been hydraulically tested.(not steamed). It has new wheels and tyres, upholsted seats, new oak body framing and woodwork with a spindle seat back. Many parts and materials are included and also a set of disc brakes for a future modification if found to be necessary. New drive sprockets and differential gears are fitted. This is a very detailed restoration/recreation built regardless of cost and I have run out of steam to finish it. I will include a set of King Of The Road brass road lamps and all the drawings and information collected over the years . I also have all the parts of a purpose made road trailer, This vehicle deserves to be finished,I just have too many other vintage car projects and not enough time.A regretful sale. £28,000 Please contact me,Steve for more information. There is a dating certificate from the London Science Museum and I have made initial enquiries re a formal VCC dating certificate but this will be something for the new owner to take forward Valid Lloyds boiler certificate and ready to go - totally 'on the match'! More smiles per gallon than anything else I've ever owned! Worth considerably more with the VCC dating process all completed and a Brighton run under her belt Sale of a half share considered to the right person as I would love to see the vision through Reason for sale - as a lifelong classic car enthusiast my modest collection has grown out of control a little, at 15 cars and 21 bikes I spend all my time chasing MoT dates and keeping batteries charged, and not enough actually enjoying quality time with them. I've therefore decided to reduce the numbers to 6 cars and 6 bikes, which will be much more manageable. As I love them all it's a bit like choosing between your children - impossible - so I'm listing everything and whatever 6 of each are left I'll keep - it's as simple as that. All my vehicles are accurately described and I hope will go to a good home - this is more important to me than extracting the last few quid from a sale, and I've no interest in selling anyone anything that isn't right for them - come and have a look and if you like what you see then great. Everything is ONO - we all love a deal! Please please please no timewasters though, if you need to ask your Mum or borrow the money from your cousin, please do so first! Many thanks Matt £39995 ONO More Information at www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C989744 Based in Surrey, U.K. |
