                            for the Return to Auburn Heights Steam Car Tour in 2018!

The Marshall Steam Museum and Friends of Auburn Heights Preserve (FAHP) are proud to host next year's Eastern Steam Car Tour. Tour Chairman Tom Marshall and the Tour Committee are already busy making plans for an extraordinary itinerary.
 
Dates: July 8-13, 2018
Host hotel: Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott (Kennett Square, PA), with trailer parking at the hotel & complimentary breakfast
 
We have arranged a special rate of $115/night (plus tax). Below is the reservation link to make online reservations or feel free to call the hotel at (610) 444-8995 and identify yourself as a participant in the "Steam Car Tour" to receive the special rate.
 
Important note: The link below is set up to allow reservations at the $115/night rate July 7-14, so if you are planning a typical tour stay from Sunday to Saturday (July 8-14), please be sure to adjust the arrival date accordingly rather than accept the default. If you intend to stay later, don't hesitate to call the hotel, and they will be happy to extend the rate for another night's stay.

Please reserve your room now! There is no charge to make the reservation, and you may cancel without penalty as long as you do so 48 hours before your arrival date.
 
So even if you aren't certain you'll attend, book now (especially if you have particular room requirements). Why? The hotel has reserved a block of rooms at the special Steam Tour rate and will release more as demand warrants. But if everyone waits until next May or June and another group swoops in to reserve rooms (for a wedding or other event), the hotel may not be able to accommodate you.

Committee Members retiring are Chris Busk, Arthur Thomson and Barry Herbert but are willing to be re-elected. However, if anyone wishes to stand for election their name, along with a proposer and seconder, should be sent in writing to the Club Secretary 7 days before the AGM
AGM Venue/Details 2018
AGM 2018 Saturday 17th of March 2:00 pm to be held at Coventry Transport Museum, Millennium Place, Hales Street, Coventry CV1 1JD
The museum opens at 10:00am and there is a café in the museum, entry to museum is free. If you would like to eat together before returning home, we will meet at 'The Elms' Birmingham Road, Allesley, Coventry, West Midlands, CV5 9TZ which is 2.8 miles from the museum. It's a Harvester Pub with a big selection to suit all tastes, a menu and booking information is available on their website. I would suggest booking a table for around 4:45pm
