Help needed with Stanley fuel automatic1/25/2017 The fuel automatic has been steadily pushing fuel pressure towards 160psi after longer rides and last weekend, it would open slowly only with much vibrating and only when the pressure reached well over 160. I took the thing apart and cleaned it up a little. What do I need to do to make it work again? Herb de la Porte, Web Master We recommend you check out the technical articles, there is help there. HERB DE LA PORTE I did. this unit is different then the one described in the technical articles as it has a nylon stopper on the diaphragm rather than a point. In the meantime, Basil was able to help me out of a bind. This unit was likely made by Gould and probably an improvement over the old pin-type. The system was plugged up because a 1/4" ball bearing from the attached check valve got lodged in the valve body. It has likely been there for a while as the check valve was complete
