Hi

I’ve got a Locomobile engine, believed to be the Mason type.
I need a chain for the back sprocket but I’m not certain what pitch or type it is?
Would you be able to tell me?
There are 15 teeth on the sprocket.
Many thanks Jb

Hi John,

15 teeth? Is this on the differential? If so that is a block chain. There is only one person in the world that I am aware of that makes that type of chain. If you can find it used, just about any used chain you'd find is generally totally worn out and unusable as it's over a hundred years old. He's in California his name is Mike Cates. His email address is cates0321@hotmail.com

If it's 15 teeth on the engine (usually 16 teeth), then it is a #60 roller chain, that can be gotten anywhere, Tractor supply, Mcmaster Carr etc. It is a little wider than the original, but it works just fine.
