Stanley steam car throttles5/19/2018 Thought that I would share with you the difference in sizes between the 10 & 20 hp Stanley throttle valve and the 30 HP Stanley throttle valve. How many have ever seen a 30 HP Stanley throttle valve? The castings are the same except that the outgoing steam line for the 30 HP Throttle Valve, its embossing for the tubing nut fitting is almost twice as big as the smaller valve's. I haven't had the 30 HP valve apart yet to see what the internal differences are.

This one was modified to generate at 10 MPH and put out 30 Amps , it is fitted to a Stanley condenser steam car. Rolly Steam car diff converted to take alternator12/29/2017 Here are some photos of another conversion I did for a 30 HP 1910 Stanley rear-end, making the patterns for the casting was a little challenge, but it all worked out.
