May 01st, 20165/1/2016 The last picture shows part of the burner plate after finishing work. Apparently, they sawed grooves in the cast iron plate are significantly larger now.

April 30th, 20164/30/2016 During test firing burner shown up in a completely different way than before, now it was bloody draft in the stove. But do not think the problems were over for it, everything was going really out of control, we actually almost completely melt the burner.
We learned something new "Burn Back" Jeff said .... A new phenomenon had appeared, the flames were no longer above the burner plate but walked quite uncontrollably into the space under the burner with horrific consequences. It was so hot that the bottom plate on the burner melted before we could stop the fire. Luckily Jeff knew the advice, "You must produce scattering plates", he wrote, and so he attached a few pictures with examples of how those can look. Here we see the plates to better distribute petrol fumes and a new bottom plate to the burner. April 28th, 20164/28/2016 There is a certain satisfaction in making progress, right?
------------------------------ Det finns en viss tillfredställelse i att göra framsteg, eller hur? ------------------------------ September 20th, 20168/15/2015 Meager with interest or is it bad with knowledge? For a couple of months ago, I threw out a question of what is shown in the picture. However, no response except from DK Steamer, who at the request of me not reveal their knowledge. The subject of the picture is a starter from an early Mobile or Locomobile. It put the entire gadget in the fireplace at home, then they went out and pumped fuel pressure on his steam carriage. Then you had to be quick, without burning itself ran it out to the car stuck in the ignition device in the burner released on gasoline then evaporated . Gasoline vapors ignited in an appropriate manner, for example, a gasoline-soaked rag that was lit and stopped into the burner. No wonder many ångvagnar burned up .... Today is not using this precarious start method, it is easier to ignite with a gas flame.
So it was time again .... a new insane traveling by car. This time to Melle in Germany. Melle is located barely 100 km from the Dutch border, not too far from Münster. So this means a drive of about 1700 km single path ... .. or 2400 km round trip, seen from a Örnskoldsvik lived persons perspective. "German Steam Automobile Tour" was now held for the sixteenth year in succession. The location for the event is as said German Melle. Participating cars from Germany but also from Holland, Belgium, Austria and England. There were some really interesting steam-filled days with many new impressions and acquaintances before we got in the car and went home to the high north. Below you will find some pictures from our exciting weekend. // Gunnar June 05th, 20156/5/2015 John Dyke's 1910 White 00 Doctor's coupe, karossen tilverkad av Cann and Co i England.
